A REALLY big snowboard jump

I had it all worked out in my mind. Lots of speed. Front grab with left hand. Pilot chute with right hand. Spin 90 left to get square on-heading opening.

It didn't quite work out that way.

I rotated 90 degrees when i pulled... just 90 the wrong direction. So. Uh. The good news is I had an on heading opening. Uh. The bad news is that i was heading into the wall. Fortunately, I had launched away from the cliff enough to get it turned around in time.

Shane McConkey graded the jump a D+ and added: "Don't worry, a D+ is almost as good as an A"

Later, while studying the video he changed his mind. "Sorry, man, you corrected your heading too fast. I have to give you a C- "

That sucks. D+ is almost as good as A. C- is just C-.

Ill be back to work on my GPA.

I then came back a month later for the APOOPA event and made another jump... that has been called "The Biggest Tindy Grab Ever"

hmmmmmm that looks like you were flailing and that you were 1/10 second from a cliff strike... NOT SMART!!! you rotate to much reaching for your piolet chute. Becarefull don't be the next on the list

Amazing air bra
But hey, first and foremost, try & stay in the safe zone! That one looked kinda way out there!
Always examine each new jump with diligence and when taking calculated risks, consult your innermind :)
visualization techniques work wonders as well!
or do like me and switch to golf. Pretty good money and it's the ball that does the flyin, not you! lol

I love it! Could perhaps be a tad more polished, but it’s far better than what we use at the moment, nonetheless

Amazing, totally awesome. I am just getting into writing articles myself, nothing remotely close to your writing potential (ha!) but I'd love for you to take my stuff someday!

Very worthwhile page. Your own web site is rather quickly starting to be one of my top picks.
